I had an assignment in Newfoundland, and the day of my arrival was a stragely sunny day, with lovely blue skies. I took a drive up Signal Hill to the Cabot Tower. This is where Marconi received the first trans-atlantic radio transmission. That’s some ugly weather rolling in, out at the horizon.

So yeah…a daily pic doesn’t seem to be happening. Not yet anyway. That’s still the goal, but sometimes life gets in the way. And that’s ok too.

1/200sec @ f9, 22mm. A bare flash camera-right, about 4′ from my mug, and a medium softbox on camera left, a bit closer. This was before I knew ANYTHING about positioning the lights and setting the ratios etc. I’d like to think I’ve improved, but there’s definitely room to grow!
I took advantage of an opportunity to go up in the company plane for an hour or so. It was a beautiful day.
